Trust in the LORD with all your heart

 

 

 

God offers us salvation through Jesus.

"And she will have a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (meaning 'Savior), for He will save His people from their sins." Matthew 1:21

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

Salvation means we receive eternal life if we enter into a personal relationship with God.

"And this is the way to have eternal life by knowing You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one You sent to earth!" John 17:3

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

There is only one way to salvation and its not the easy road.

"Heaven can be entered only through the narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its easy way. But the gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only a few ever find it." Matthew 7:13-14

Salvation cannot be earned, it is a gift.

"Because of His kindness, you have been saved through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it." Ephesians 2:8-9

Receiving salvation is a powerful, personal response to the gospel including repentance for sin.

"These words of Peter's moved them deeply, and they said to him and to the other apostles, 'Brothers, what should we do?' And Peter replied, 'Each one of you must turn from sin, return to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins." Acts 2:37-38

Receiving salvation is simple, direct, personal, and public.

"For salvation that comes from trusting Christ which is what we preach is already within easy reach of each of us; in fact, it is as near as our own hearts and mouths. For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord, and believe in your own heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in his heart that a man becomes right with God; and with his mouth he tells others of his faith, confirming his salvation." Romans 10:8-10     

 

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. (Psalm 23:6)

 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Psalm 24:4-5)

 

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. (Psalm 27:4)

The LORD knows the days of the upright, And their inheritance shall be forever. (Psalm 37:18)

 

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. (Psalm 37:39,40)

 With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation. (Psalm 91:16)

 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. (Revelation 12:10)           

  

 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. --John 3:16

 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
