Trust in the LORD with all your heart

Wisdom begins when we ask God to be our supply.

"So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of Yours?" I Kings 3:9

God offers practical wisdom to apply to life.

"Oh, how I love Your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me." Psalm 119:97-98

Trust in God He will make you truly wise.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." Proverbs 1:7

Wisdom is the ability to see life from God's perspective and then to know the best course of action to take.

"How wonderful to be wise, to understand things, to be able to analyze them and interpret them. Wisdom lights up a man's face, softening its hardness." Ecclesiastes 8:1

We become wiser as we become more like Christ.

"And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him." Luke 2:40

We can ask for God's wisdom to guide our choices.

"If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it." James 1:5

True wisdom does not come from men's philosophies and ideas.

"Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men's thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said." Colossians 2:8

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalm 1:1-3)

The law of the law is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

(Psalm 19:7)

Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.(Psalm 51:6)

O LORD, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions. (Psalm 104:24)

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. (Proverbs 3:13-18)

The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. (Proverbs 3:35)

Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
(Proverbs 28:5)

For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind. (Ecclesiastes 2:26)

I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.--Psalm 16:7

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. --Psalm 32:8

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. --James 1:5
